The American Optometric Association recommends yearly or bi-yearly eye and vision exams, depending on your risk of sight-threatening disease.
Eye Health Examination
This part of the comprehensive eye examination includes examination of the health of the outside and inside parts of the eye. Our doctor is able to monitor for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and many of diseases of the eye and the body.
Also included in the comprehensive eye examination is your refraction. The refraction is the determination of the prescription that will give you the clearest vision possible. Our Doctor of Optometry and Optical staff will work with you to determine recommended lens designs, styles, coatings and proper usage or glasses or contact lenses.
Contact Lens Examinations
Contact lenses are considered medical devices because they sit on the front portion of the eye. If you are a contact lens wearer or wish to become a contact lens wearer, our Optometrist will perform additional tests with diagnostic lenses to ensure that proper fit and vision is maintained year to year.
